Stratégies de recherche alimentaire des oiseaux littoraux et relations prédateurs -proies au sein des vasières estuariennes.
Les recherches menées sur les oiseaux limicoles au sein de l’équipe DYFEA de LIENSs visent à mieux comprendre la place et l’importance de ces prédateurs au sein des écosystèmes des vasières. Les Pertuis charentais et Breton constituent le premier site d’hivernages des limicoles en France avec une douzaine d’espèces communes stationnant durant 8 à 10 mois ou abritant d’important groupes d’oiseaux en halte migratoire. Nos recherches sont focalisées sur la distribution hivernale et les stratégies de recherche alimentaire de deux espèces : le bécasseau maubèche Calidris canutus (Thèse Gwenaël Quaintenne) et la barge à queue noire Limosa limosa (Thèse Frédéric Robin).
