Habitat use of Eurasian Curlew (Numenius arquata) during the breeding season
My main research question is how global changes affect animal populations and animal movement. I collaborate with Pierrick Bocher and Jérôme Fort as part of the Limitrack Project. I study the Eurasian Curlew, classified as vulnerable in Europe, in order to characterize the habitat they use during the breeding season. I work with GPS tracks of curlews equipped in the Pertuis Charentais and I will combine these tracks with land cover data obtained with satellite imagery. The aim of this work is to increase our knowledge of this poorly studied species, in order to adjust current conservation actions.
