Quantifying Sediment-Water Interface exchange in Coastal Regions
Understanding Sediment-Water Interface exchange in Coastal regions in inherently difficult due to the more turbulent and heterogeneous environment, compared to the deep sea which. For my PhD, we will improve the deep sea early diagenesis model RADI, to make it more compatible with coastal environments by including relevant chemical processes and physical processes. The end goal is to implement a metamodel of the improved model into NASA’s global ECCO-Darwin model and thereby add an important aspect that is yet to be represented.
