Contamination des écosystèmes marins arctiques et impacts multi-stress sur la communauté aviaire
Mes activités de recherche s’intéressent à étudier l’impact des multiples modifications environnementales en Arctique (d’origines climatiques et anthropiques) sur les écosystèmes marins, et en particulier sur la communauté des oiseaux marins. Ces espèces, qui jouent un rôle essentiel de le fonctionnement écosystèmes arctiques, sont sensibles à la contamination et aux perturbations de leur environnement, et représentent aussi de puissants bioindicateurs de l’état des réseaux trophiques dont elles dépendent. Je développe ainsi les études multidisciplinaires à larges échelles spatiales et temporelles, combinant des approches d’écotoxicologie, d’écologie spatiale ou encore d’écophysiologie.
 
Actuellement, mes recherches se concentrent sur la contamination par le mercure, un métal qui soulève de nombreuses inquiétudes environnementales et pour la santé des organismes de cette région. L’objectif est ainsi de mieux comprendre la contamination à très large échelle des écosystèmes marins, incluant les oiseaux, les processus sous-jacents, ainsi que les impacts sur les organismes et les populations dans un contexte multi-stress.
