To respond effectively to new environmental and societal challenges, Research at the LIENSs Joint Research Unit is backed by five national observation services, two regional observatories, and it participates in several multidisciplinary research networks.
Within the framework of IR-ILICO (Coastal and Littoral Research Infrastructure) and the Ocean Observation Services of CNRS-INSU, the laboratory participates in five national observation services: SOMLIT (Littoral Environment Observation Service), DYNALIT (coastal dynamics and shoreline), SONEL (Coastal Sea Level Observation System), which it coordinates and for which it is the analysis centre, BenthOBS (Benthic macrofauna observation network) and PHYTOBS (Phytoplankton observation network).
